Margie Millar provides psychotherapy for adults and adolescents (13+).  She specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse related issues. She is able to use a variety of approaches with the preference of working from a client centered focus, utilizing client's strengths, with emotion focused  (EFT) and mindfulness techniques. Margie works out the Bannockburn and Arlington Heights office.

"Reaching out for therapy can be daunting but you have already taken the first step. I can be there for you when you are ready to take the next step and start therapy."

Margie works with populations including persons experiencing substance use disorders, persons who identify as being LGBTQ+, persons diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, teenagers experiencing identity and/or behavioral issues, people who have experienced complex compound trauma, monogamous couples, polyamorous couples, and various other populations. She works with her clients on their goals and needs.

She is a Certified Alcohol and other Drug Counselor (CADC). I am trained in Mindfulness Therapy and Basic Hypnosis. She uses a strength-based approach to allow you to be the guiding force in her sessions.
